A coming of age story.

Yuri the monk resides in a country called, strangely enough, Yuri! He meets a young girl, discovers the wonderful world of sex, and then he kills his master. He then has to face the androgynous Candle Light Monk. Yuri travels to a small town and finds love, torture and corruption.

Running from war, Lyuba, a Ukrainian little girl, is always holding her teddy bear Yuri in her arms – it represents the need to hold on to memories and certainties. Once in Italy, she meets Bruna, a former circus performer, who takes her into a world of magic and fantasy. One day, the boundary between reality and imagination breaks, and Lyuba must cope with her fears to regain hope.

Anton, a young Ukrainian man, walks through Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. He arrives outside Brooklyn Banya, a bathhouse, matching it to the image on a postcard he has been carrying. He asks her if she has seen his father, Andrei. She invites him to pay the entrance fee to look for himself.
